About me
Hello. My name is Sue Parnell and I’m an accredited counsellor with almost 40 years experience working with issues such as addiction, physical disability, phobias, alcohol dependency and substance misuse, parents with special educational needs, chronic illness, trauma, abuse, anxiety and depression, low self-esteem, neurodiversity and relationship problems.
I’m a registered and accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) working in a Person-Centred way.
I have been trained to work online and hold membership with the Association for Counselling and Therapy Online (ACTO).
I have also trained and am licensed in Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (CFD).

If you’re struggling with low mood, persistent sadness or feeling stuck, Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (CFD) can offer gentle, effective support. CFD is an evidence-based therapy used in the NHS for depression, helping you explore your feelings at your own pace in a safe, non-judgemental space.
I work alongside you to deepen your emotional awareness, rebuild self-trust and discover new ways forward. This approach can be especially helpful if you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure why you feel the way you do. Together, we focus on what matters most to you, so you can feel more grounded, understood and able to move towards healing.
I work in line with the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions and am committed to regular professional development to maintain the quality and integrity of my practice.
